Architects Row Community Association Minutes - February 6th, 2007

Dues: If you have not paid your dues ($20/household), please give them to David Cramer, 6150 Chinquapin Parkway (cash or write a check to CHWA). Dues can also be delivered to Ben or McKinzie Lefstein (6148).

Traffic update: We will have a representative from the Department of Transportation at the March meeting to further discuss speeding issues on the front street. We already received a response saying that they could either make the street one way or eliminate parking on one side of the street. It was discussed that these were not viable options, and we would still like to pursue getting speed bumps. We plan to dedicate the next meeting to traffic solutions.

Yard Sale Update: Saturday May 5^th has been chosen for the yard sale date (rain date May 12^th). Lin is going to ask the church on the corner if it would be possible to have our yard sale on their lot (permits for private property may be cheaper than those for public property). Milton will investigate the price of permits and will also obtain whichever one is needed. We will again be having the Community table, for which all profits will be donated to the community account. Please contact Ben or McKinzie Lefstein if you have any items you would like to donate to the table.

Other items: It was suggested that we look into grants to help preserve the back property and/or possibly to erect a fence along the Northwood side. Also, we will look into the Comcast Neighborhood grant to fund an event or project to promote community involvement.

The next meeting will be held at Dave and Ruth’s house (6150) on March 6, at 7:00.
